Four reasons to register

We hope to see you as an active participant in this groundbreaking chapter of the IoF2020 chronicles! Let us give you four reasons to register!

1. Learn more about the status-quo and future of digital agriculture in Europe
High-level policy-makers at European, national and regional level, as well as renowned academics will participate in panel discussions on the status-quo and the future of precision farming in Europe. We foresee time for questions from the audience, so this will be your chance to engage in a lively debate!

2. Take part in shaping the IoF2020 Open Call.
In the second half of 2018, IoF2020 will launch a €5 million Open Call for new partners to join our consortium. In order to help us shape the future of IoF2020, event participants are invited to a workshop to provide their input on the scope and structure of the Open Call along three themes: new areas, new technologies and new regions.

3. Engage with key stakeholders from the agri-food value chain
More than 300 stakeholders from along the agri-food value chain, including farmers, technology providers policy-makers and researchers will join the event. This represents an excellent opportunity to network and share your ideas on the agri-tech revolution. In this context, a workshop featuring a House of Commons style debate will focus on the role of public-private partnerships in enhancing the uptake of IoT technologies in the European food and farming sectors.

4. Get to know use-cases first hand and see how IoT technologies perform in the field.
On the second day, participants will have the opportunity to visit vegetable use-cases powered by IoF2020 and other EU funded projects. The visit will take place in the vicinity of Almeria, and showcase ICT-solutions in greenhouses.
Our mission

IoF2020 fosters the large-scale take-up of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in the European food and farming sectors. Thereby, it addresses challenges related to improving the agri-food sector’s environmental sustainability, while maintaining high quality standards, responding to international competition and enhancing transparency. IoF2020 focuses on 19 use-cases across 5 thematic trials (arable crop, dairy, meat, vegetables and fruits), covering both integrated and organic farming. For more information, please visit:
